StopGerms House in Magazine

ACE's soon-to-be-launched Second Life house received publicity in last month's issue of Spray Technology & Marketing magazine. It can be found on the last page in the 'Spray Patterns' section.

The article reads:

"The Alliance for Consumer Education's (ACE) award-winning disease prevention website -www.stopgerms.org - is getting a 'virtual' boost. The educational 3-D version of the ACE StopGerms house is currently under development in Second Life, an online interactive community composed of nearly 10 million people worldwide. Once launched, individuals can log on and virtually 'walk' around the house, learning where germs lurk and methods to keep them at bay. ACE believes the new approach will allow it to expand its Disease Prevention program to a vast new segment of its target audience. Additionally, the original StopGerms house has added on four more rooms and been included in the curriculum of a nursing program at a regional college."

ACE Presents at SATA

For the second year in a row, ACE was invited to present at the Southern Aerosol Technical Association (SATA) spring meeting. The meeting was held in late March at the Marriott Perimeter Center in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity allowed ACE to share with those in attendance the latest activities going on in its Inhalant and Disease Prevention programs.

Charles Lucius, President of SATA, awarded Queshia Bradley of ACE with a check and noted the association’s appreciation for the work being done in raising awareness of inhalant abuse prevention in an effort to save more kid’s lives. ACE will continue to work with SATA and other regional Aerosol Associations to prevent the abuse of products.
