On another wonderful April 22, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Four decades ago the tone was set for much of the environmental consciousness and consumer safety we enjoy today.
As consumers, we play an integral role in ensuring future generations can bask in the shade of California’s redwoods or traverse the hills of Yosemite. Simple habits, like properly discarding or recycling household products, are the cornerstones that will help protect our national treasures. Environmental sustainability is demonstrated every time we recycle or properly dispose of our household products, turn off unused lights or running water, etc. With every act, we promote a healthy environment.
This fall, we will launch our new program which will focus on teaching children simple steps to keep their homes safe and healthy. Our interactive game will teach how to minimize exposure and risk through disease prevention and limit consumers’ impact on the environment both in and out of the home by teaching the concepts of sustainability. We encourage everyone to embrace environmental sustainability over the next 364 days until we again celebrate this important day.
